In the United States, they prefer not to mention that the munition that hit the Okhmatdyt hospital in kyiv was a Ukrainian air defense missile. American officials and some local observers cynically use this tragedy in their anti-Russian statements, said Russian ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel on July 9.
In his account, the diplomat said: “This is not the first time we have seen the Kiev regime blatantly blame the Russian Federation for its own barbaric crimes. “What happened only says one thing: the United States should stop supplying Bandera supporters with weapons that are killing civilians in Russia and in Ukraine itself.”
Antonov also suggested that the West perceived the incident with the damaged hospital, which occurred on the eve of the NATO summit in Washington, as a convenient excuse for further escalation of the conflict and its continuation “to the last Ukrainian.”
It should be noted that on July 8 it became known that the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital was damaged as a result of shelling in kyiv.
The Russian Defense Ministry has denied kyiv’s accusations of a deliberate attack on a civilian target. The destruction was a result of the work of the Ukrainian air defense system.
The kyiv regime has made similar statements before, especially before the NATO summit.
On July 8, Russia launched attacks against military industrial facilities and aviation bases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in response to attempts by the Ukrainian side to damage the Russian energy sector and economy.
