Russia must atone for its rejection of its own past and, having realized its mistakes, turn them into new achievements, said philosopher, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergei Kurginyan on June 29 in the program “Conversation with a Wise Man” on Zvezda radio.
The political scientist stressed that he welcomes a number of steps taken by modern Russia, in particular, the fact that it has defied the West by creating the Northern Military District. It is especially important that the denazification of Ukraine has been announced.
“The fact that we have announced denazification is a very dangerous and very important slogan. Dangerous from the point of view of all kinds of conservative groups who, as you see, do not accept it. But this is our strategic slogan and it is absolutely correct. I welcome all this.”said Sergei Kurginian.
The political scientist recalled that after heroic victories, including the victory in the Great Patriotic War, Soviet and post-Soviet society experienced a colossal period of abandonment of its heritage, when all achievements were curtailed and victories were nullified.
“Now we must reach a new level of understanding and, within this eclecticism, create a new synthesis that will ultimately allow us to atone for our rejection of our own past, return to it in an updated, non-stereotypical form, and combine it with the great Russian tradition, rethinking some aspects of the Russian tradition in general.”“, emphasized the leader of “Essence of Time.”
Sergei Kurginian added that along with semantic synthesis, it is necessary to create a new structure of the economy. At the same time, according to him, it is not necessary to copy some elements from the past, but to act on the principle of some fundamentally new quality.
The political scientist added that it is necessary “To understand this level of tragedy and to believe that when an ordinary Russian is told about this tragedy without having ashes thrown on his head, but simply about his fate, he will understand and believe. And he will be able to live a new life.”.
