The work plan of Iran’s 14th administration will be based on the general policy of the system announced by the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the elected president of the Islamic Republic, Masoud Pezeshkian, said on July 10, IRNA reported.
This policy will also serve as the basis for the country’s long-term development plan, the President said.
He made the remarks at a meeting with President and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Leader’s Office Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani and Ali Asghar Hejazi, who met with Pezeshkian to congratulate him on his victory in the second round of the presidential election.
The president-elect was also congratulated by the Supreme Leader’s senior adviser, former Parliament Speaker Golam Ali Haddad-Adel. He wished him success in his new job.
The president-elect also met with Mahmoud Alavi, former intelligence minister in the administration of former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Pezeshkian has held a series of meetings with current and former officials and phone calls with world leaders over the past few days as he prepares to take office. The presidential inauguration is scheduled for July 30.
