Ukraine believes that NATO has taken a “real step forward” towards its membership

In the Washington summit declaration, the Alliance has pledged to integrate Ukraine in the future and to help it “repel Russian invasion.” Russia says it will consider taking measures to contain the Alliance. Meanwhile, China believes that they are trying to ruin its relations with the EU.

The head of the presidential office of UkraineAndri Yermak has shown himself to be very satisfied with the statement agreed by the members of the NATOin which they consider Ukraine’s accession to be “irreversible”.

Speaking at a forum on the sidelines of the summit in Washington, Yermak said that “the language of the documents is very strong. We have seen that the Alliance has made a real step forward.” In his opinion, NATO’s next decision will be to invite Ukraine to become a member.

The 32 members of NATO have assured in a joint declaration that “the future of Ukraine is in NATO” and that “when they meet the conditions for it”, they will extend an invitation to join. They have also committed to allocating a minimum of 100 million euros by 2025. 40 billion euros in military aid “so that it can repel the Russian invasion” and to support defensive industrial production, promoting an innovative, competitive and sustainable industry.

In addition, the deployment of US long-range missiles in Germany has been decided in recent days.

Russia considers all this “a very serious threat to national security.” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has warned that They will consider taking some measures “weighed, coordinated and effective” measures to contain NATO.
