The US president has once again made a major gaffe, this time when introducing Volodymyr Zelensky in his speech at the NATO summit in Washington this Thursday. Joe Biden called the Ukrainian president… “Putin.”
“Now I want to introduce the president of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination. Ladies and gentlemen… President Putin,” he said.
Without much delay, the 81-year-old US president backed away: “President Putin? President Zelensky.”
“I’m so focused on beating Putin…,” he explained. Zelensky responded humorously: “I’m feeling much better!” “Much better,” Biden agreed.
