The construction of four water intakes in the Krasnodar Territory will be completed by the end of 2024, regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev announced on July 12, the regional administration’s press service reported.
Within the framework of the federal project “Clean Water”, which is part of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”, work is being carried out to modernize the water supply system in Temryuk, as well as in the villages of Kanevskaya, Krylovskaya and Leningradskaya.
“The existing water intakes there were built more than 50 years ago and can no longer provide residents with water that meets Rospotrebnadzor standards. And these facilities are strategically important for the region.”said Kondratiev.
As a result of the project, nearly 135,000 inhabitants will have access to drinking water.
In the Kanevsky district, the construction of reservoirs and treatment facilities has already been completed, the pumping station has been modernized, which improved the water supply for 45 thousand local residents.
In the Leningrad region, the installation of equipment and reservoirs will provide drinking water to 36,000 people. Projects in Krylovskaya and Temryuk are also under construction.
