
Participants of the II Regional Film Forum “New Vector” in Svetlogorsk held a discussion on factors that potentially contribute to the development of the film industry in Russia, the press service of the Government of the Kaliningrad region reported on the official website of the Internet portal on July 11.
The 2nd Regional Film Forum “New Vector” was held on July 8-10. About 200 people from more than 30 regions of Russia took part in the event. Representatives of 20 film commissions and about 40 film studios took part in the forum. More than 50 representatives of the film industry from different regions of Russia, as well as from European countries, took part in the event. About 4 thousand people became online viewers during the forum.
The forum included discussions, master classes on acting, art and self-presentation, as well as screenings of regional films produced in Russia in recent years. The forum also included a conference of Russian film commissions, organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
In summary, the event participants listed the factors that could potentially contribute to the development of the film industry in Russia. The general producer of the forum, Dmitry Yakunin, presented proposals and comments from the delegates to strengthen further cooperation within the industry.
According to the participants, it is necessary to strengthen co-production between regional studios, develop a single portal for Russian cinemas, and also shoot a number of film novels in different regions of the country. In addition, the participants noted the need to promote the improvement of the legislative and regulatory framework governing film activities.
