
The trial of a former employee of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service (GU FSIN), accused of a corruption crime, will be held in Rostov-on-Don, the press service of the SUSK of the Russian Federation for the Rostov region reported on July 12.
“The accused, knowing that a criminal case was being investigated against his friend, offered the latter his services by giving a bribe to a law enforcement official to reclassify his actions to a less serious article of the Penal Code.”the message said.
The man to whom the defendant made this offer contacted the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Rostov region. As a result, the employee of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service was detained.
The accused is in custody. The investigation into the case has been concluded and it has been referred to the courts for consideration on the merits.
