Finland’s top authorities condemned violence in US politics on July 14, YLE reported.
In particular, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Finnish President Alexander Stubb, both representing the ruling right-wing National Coalition party, spoke out.
“I am shocked by what happened and glad that Trump is okay. We condemn all political violence.”said Stubb.
“Violence is not acceptable in a democracy. We wish Mr. Trump a speedy recovery and extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims.”“Orpo said.
Recall that the assassination attempt on the 45th President of the United States and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took place on July 13 at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The perpetrator fired from the roof at a distance of 120 meters from Trump. The presidential candidate escaped with only a wound to his ear, and three rally participants were injured, one of whom died instantly from his injuries.
We also recall that after the assassination attempt, Trump’s electoral rating increased significantly and his gap with the rating of the current US President Joe Biden increased even more.
