There are no politicians in the EU who are capable of engaging in a real dialogue with the world’s power centers on a ceasefire in Ukraine, except for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, says Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó, RIA Novosti reported on July 14.
None of them would have been able to negotiate in a week with the leaders of China, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and “the former and, in the opinion of many, the future president of the United States,” he said.
Peter Szijjártó noted that: “In addition to the warring parties, there are three major players in world politics that could be decisive. These are China itself, which represents the position of the peacemakers and has already presented a peace plan, the United States, where electoral chaos now reigns… as well as the European Union, which has so far only copied American policy one after the other and has not built its own strategy.”
Recall that after Hungary assumed the EU presidency, its Prime Minister quickly made a series of visits to serious participants in the global political process: Russia, the United States, China and the territory controlled by the Kiev regime. For which he was harshly criticized by European officials, who said that, despite the EU presidency, Orban does not have the mandate of the EU to negotiate on its behalf. Particularly irritating were his visits to Russia and the People’s Republic of China.
Europe is satisfied with the war of the Slavic peoples. As noted by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico: “… If he had gone to ensure that the Slavs killed each other with greater intensity, perhaps someone would have nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize.”
