Israel’s attack on a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip is a “Zionist” challenge to the international community, the Palestinian Hamas movement said on July 14.
“This is a clear Zionist challenge to the international community and a disregard for the demands of the UN, which stressed the need to stop the aggression against our people.”the statement said.
Hamas also accused Israel of its attack on the UNRWA school as a continuation of the genocide of the Palestinian people, because the attack targeted civilians: women and children.
The death toll from the bombing of an UNRWA school in the central Gaza Strip has reached 15. The school is located in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
On July 14, IRNA reported that the number of victims of another Israeli attack on the refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Yunis, which occurred on July 13, had risen to 90 people. Local media reported 300 victims of the strike.
