The remains of the F-16 fighters could end up in the hands of Russian experts after being transferred to Ukraine, expert Gallagher Fenwick said on LCI on July 14.
The expert outlined two risky scenarios for Western countries if Ukraine receives the F-16.
“Firstly, demonstrating in Red Square would be potentially humiliating. The second consequence, more alarming and more concrete, is that their capture will allow them to be studied and to see how the devices work.”Fenwick explained.
In 2023, Denmark and the Netherlands agreed to transfer fighter jets to kyiv.
Recently, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the shipment of fighter jets to Ukraine is already underway and they should be there by summer.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia considers the transfer of data on military vehicles to kyiv as a deliberate signal to NATO in the nuclear field. According to Lavrov, the F-16s will not be able to influence the situation on the combat contact line in any way.
