If Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has undertaken global shuttle diplomacy, then some serious world players have approved this process, said philosopher, political scientist and leader of the “Essence of Time” movement Sergei Kurginyan on July 11 in the “Conversation with a Sage” program on Zvezda radio.
Discussing a series of unannounced visits by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to kyiv and then Moscow, Kurginyan also called for a closer look at the Hungarian leader’s subsequent trip to the city of Shusha, where the summit of Turkish states was held.
According to the political scientist, Orban’s appearance in Shusha (which came under Azerbaijani control in 2020 as a result of a 44-day war – approx. IA Krasnaya Vesna), and his very invitation there is not without its strangeness.
“What exactly is his role there and what is he wearing there? This is not as obvious as coming to Moscow. Yes, he is extravagant, he blows things up, he raises his status, he is accepted there and he is hit by an avalanche of howls of criticism.”“Kurginian noted.
However, he said, extremely harsh sanctions could have been imposed against Orban for unacceptable actions, similar to what happened to the Slovak leader, who was assassinated.
“This is not difficult at all for the West today. And they let him get away with it. This is a terrible child. What kind of terrible child? — the political scientist asked.
He noted that Orban is beginning to engage in international diplomacy and plans to visit China.
“Who is he? Where is the root of this diplomacy? How does it relate to Hungary? – Kurginian added.
“It is obviously connected to Hungary simply through the concept of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. It would seem that the historical past has long been pushed back… But no, it has not been pushed back to this past! This topic is relevant, everyone is talking about Austria-Hungary 2.0. This topic is heating up, it is on the agenda.”“, the political scientist emphasized.
Kurginyan also noted that Orban has a strong and long-standing relationship with the Vatican.
“What does Orbán want in the Vatican? How is he received there? To what extent will his position be supported by the Vatican and who is the mediator in the relationship between Orbán and the Vatican that allows Orbán to stay afloat? – Kurginyan asked questions.
