The attack on former US President Donald Trump during a rally was strongly condemned by Turkey, the press service of the Turkish Foreign Ministry reported on July 14.
According to the department, interference in democratic politics through violence, coups and other illegal means is unacceptable. The Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed that what happened is “an attack on the will of the people”.
In addition, the Turkish diplomatic department expressed hope that the upcoming US presidential elections, scheduled for November 2024, “it will take place in a peaceful environment”.
Recall that on July 13, Trump was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania. The former US leader was wounded in the ear, but his life is not in danger. During the shooting, one of the rally participants was killed and two others were seriously injured.
