The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) has begun decoding and analyzing information from the flight recorders of the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft that crashed near Kolomna, the IAC press service reported on the organization’s website on July 15.
“In the laboratory of the Interstate Aviation Committee, the Committee’s specialists began deciphering and analyzing information copied from flight recorders found at the crash site of the RRJ-95LR-100 aircraft.”the message says.
On July 12, a Sukhoi Superjet plane with three crew members crashed near the village of Apraksino in the Kolomna district. A criminal case has been opened regarding the accident.
In addition, it is reported that in order to eliminate the risk of information loss, the IAC laboratory carried out preliminary procedures to prepare the memory modules for research.
IAC previously reported that the recorders were exposed to high temperatures and suffered significant mechanical damage.
