Military personnel drafted into the armed forces in the spring were not sent to the combat zone on the territory of the former Ukrainian SSR, the press service of the military department reported in a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry on July 15.
“The conscripted personnel were not sent to the deployment points of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in new regions of the Russian Federation – the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, or to participate there in the performance of the tasks of a special military operation.”the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
It should be noted that 150 thousand people were sent to military service as part of the spring 2024 conscription. Let us also recall that, according to information from the Ministry of Defense, 190 thousand servicemen have entered into contract service in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces since the beginning of 2024.
