A Moscow design student had his electric scooter confiscated after an accident, the website of the Federal Bailiff Service in Moscow reported on July 15.
A drunk young man riding an electric scooter ran over an elderly woman. And since this was not his first offense, the court, pursuant to Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment or with a criminal record” decided to confiscate the electric scooter, which became a means of committing a crime.
As a result, the scooter became state property and the young man was not allowed to drive a vehicle for 18 months.
As a result, the Dualtron ultra-electric scooter was transferred to the state for circulation.
It is worth noting that the seizure of an electric scooter from the person responsible for the accident was the first precedent of its kind in Moscow.
