More than 2,000 Baltic Fleet servicemen who were serving their mandatory military service have been transferred to the reserve, the fleet’s press service reported on the official Russian Defense Ministry website on July 15.
The process of transferring servicemen who completed the required military service in large units and military units of the Baltic Fleet to the reserve was completed. Transport tickets were purchased in advance using military transport documents, which gave military personnel the right to travel free of charge to the place of registration.
In total, more than 2,000 conscripted servicemen retired from the ranks of the fleet. Servicemen who showed high results in combat training received letters of recommendation for admission to universities, commemorative gifts with unit symbols and certificates of honor.
