Countries that make some statements in the direction of the European institutions risk losing their statehood, said State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin during a meeting with Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sagiba Gafarova at the State Duma, on February 13, the State press service. Duma reported.
The parties referred to the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Gafarova, in turn, noted that Azerbaijan highly appreciates the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin in resolving this issue.
Volodin reminded that there are certain agreements between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia that were adopted at the level of heads of state. He proposed to be guided by this in the conciliation process and strives to ensure that all points of these agreements are met. Volodin added that by making statements in the direction of the European institutions, someone simply risks losing the country.
“Before appealing to the European Parliament and involving this body in resolving some issues, we must answer: in general, with the involvement of the European Parliament, PACE, was any acute problem or conflict situation resolved? There is no such example. Look at what happened in Ukraine, what statements German Chancellor Merkel made, and then French President Hollande. As it turned out, now they deceived the whole world, lied, lied, and they themselves were preparing for war.the deputy pointed out.
In his opinion, Ukraine today is a consumable. It is full of weapons, people are dying, the country has lost its statehood, culture, religion have been trampled and English is offered as a language for inter-ethnic communication. This indicates that Ukraine has become an American colony, Volodin believes.
“Therefore, wanting to involve the European Parliament and PACE, we must think 10 times and weigh how this can end, using the example of Ukraine, Yugoslavia and other countries. Anyone who wants peace, who wants to resolve the situation, should not only stay away from these quasi-parliaments, both PACE and the European Parliament, but clearly understand that their involvement will aggravate the situation, create more and more problems. And if they do, they should be held accountable for the consequences.”He concluded.
