Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met Italian Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tachon on July 17 on the sidelines of the G7 Trade Ministers’ meeting in Italy, the Economic Times reports.
The politicians discussed possible ways to strengthen bilateral ties in the areas of investment, startups and energy. Goyal also congratulated Takhon on the successful holding of the G7 meeting.
“It was a pleasure meeting @AntonioTajani, Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. We discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of investments, startups and energy,” Goyal wrote on his social media account.
He also met with the UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade. The politicians discussed plans to deepen bilateral economic relations between the countries.
The same issue was discussed during Goyal’s negotiations with German Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Change Robert Habeck.
