Two people, including a 17-year-old boy, were rescued from the rubble in Kahramanmarash province. Rescuers estimated that those rescued spent more than 8 days, or 198 hours, under the rubble. Right now, the doctors are helping them.
The third person rescued was an 18-year-old named Mohammed Jafer Chetin. He spent more than 197 hours under the rubble in Adiyaman province.
It is reported that at the time of the collapse of the six-story building, the young man was on the third floor. During the rescue work, he gave his voice and was heard. Rescuers spent several hours dismantling the remains on top of the young man. At the final stage, they managed to put a piece of cloth under the young man and pull him out.
The rescued man was very weak, but he was able to utter a few words. He is also currently in the hospital.
Let us remember that as a consequence of the earthquakes in the southeast of Turkey, 31,643 people died.
