A retraining and advanced training centre for energy sector personnel will be opened in Tashkent, the press service of the Uzbek Energy Ministry reported on July 19, citing a decree of the Uzbek government.
“With the establishment of the Uzenergo Inspectorate of the Ministry of Energy, the joint-stock companies “Issiklik elektro staniyalari”, “Uzbekhidroenergo”, “Uzbekiston milliy elektro tarmoklari”, “Uzbekneftegaz”, “Uztransgaz”, “Khududgaztaminot” and “Uzkimyosanoat” are being established within JSC. LLC Centre for retraining and advanced training of personnel in the energy sector, with territorial branches, is being formed.”– the press service reports.

It is specified that training at the center will be digitalized.
When preparing training programmes, the centre will draw on foreign experience, but it does not specify the experience of which country. The centre will introduce digital analysis and monitoring of the quality of education into the learning process.
It is also reported that the centre will offer classes on energy audits and energy management. At the same time, it is clarified that the centre will introduce distance learning systems.
It is reported that energy sector officials will be upgraded from April 1, 2025. The frequency of advanced training courses for managers and specialists is once every five years. Workers and engineering personnel must undergo retraining once every three years.
