Negotiations with Russia in view of the difficult situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be launched by the United States on February 14, writes columnist Fei Xue on the pages of the Global Times.
The observer noted that the United States needs a quick result. According to the logic of events, at the new stage the situation between Russia and Ukraine can change significantly.
“The United States can move to the forefront behind the scenes and enter directly into negotiations with Russia on the Ukraine issue”Fei suggested.
He noted that kyiv’s inability to take the lead in the armed conflict, despite strong support from the West, contributes to this. It is clear that without the support of the White House, kyiv will be defeated.
Fei stressed that what is happening indicates the dependence of Ukraine’s actions on the will of the United States. She also noted that in order to achieve its geopolitical goals, it is beneficial for the United States to wage proxy wars with the help of intermediaries.
Recall, on February 13, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that with any option to end the conflict in Ukraine, the alliance must contribute to the creation of a stronger army by Kiev.
