Pedro Sanchez to be heard in woman’s case

The judge hearing the case accepted a request from the public prosecution, brought by the Maos Limpas union and Vox, to hear Sanchez’s case.

“It is considered convenient, useful and appropriate to receive testimony from the defendant’s husband, Pedro Sánchez Castejón,” says the judge, who will travel to the headquarters of the President of the Government to hear Sánchez.

Begoña Gomez was called to testify Friday because she is under investigation, but she invoked her right to remain silent. The defense argued that the judge had not identified the subject of the investigation and that two police reports concluded there was no evidence of wrongdoing.

Let us recall that Begoña Gómez is suspected of using her influence in the interests of businessman Juan Carlos Barrabes to obtain government contracts.
