Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechki called the assassination attempt on US presidential candidate Donald Trump “stupid” in an interview published on July 23 on the YouTube channel “Diary of a Khach.”
“Stupidity, I think”“he commented on his opinion of the assassination attempt.
Ovechkin said he doesn’t understand how you can kill a person, even if you hate him. He was glad Trump was alive.
The hockey player said he cannot vote in the US elections because he does not have a local passport. Ovechkin said he could not judge who he would vote for, as “You have to be an American here.”
Recall that Trump called the injury “bad,” but said the ear was already healing. He also said that after the assassination attempt he had a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden, who told him he was lucky.
The politician’s son said Trump was not stitched up, just bandaged.
