12 mounds in the Rostov region have been recognized as cultural heritage of federal significance, the press service of the regional administration reported on July 23.
12 Don mounds were included in the State Register of Cultural Heritage Sites (Historical and Cultural Monuments) of the Peoples of the Russian Federation as objects of cultural heritage of federal significance.
Nine objects are located in the Kashar district. These are the mounds “Verkhnegrekovo I”, “Verkhnegrekovo II”, “Vishnevka-I”, “Kasharsky I”, “Krasny Kolos I”, “Nagolny” and the groups of mounds “Krasnoyarovka-I”, “Nagolnaya-II” . , “Nagolnaya” -III”.
Three more facilities are located in the Tselinsky district. These are the mounds “Middle Yula III”, “Middle Yula IV” and “Middle Yula V”.
The mounds date back to the Middle Bronze Age (3rd millennium BC) – Late Middle Ages (14th century AD).
In addition to the mounds, the Komsomolsky Boulevard settlement is recognized as a cultural heritage of federal significance. It is located in the city of Taganrog. The settlement dates back to the 19th and early 20th centuries. n. e.
