Children of participants in the Special Military Operation (SVO) in the Vologda region can receive free higher education in university and specialized programs, Acting Governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov announced on his Telegram channel on July 23.
“New benefits have come into effect for family members of military personnel. Now children of SVO participants can receive free education in bachelor’s and specialist programmes. There is a separate quota for them – at least 10% of the target number of admissions to budget places for each area of training.”– Filimonov said.
The head of the region attached to his message the phone numbers of the admissions committees of the Vologda and Cherepovets state universities, as well as the Vologda State Dairy Academy named after Nikolai Vereshchagin.
Recall that at the end of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law according to which children of SVO participants can study at universities within the limits of a special quota. They will be accepted within a separate quota, which must be set by the university annually and will amount to at least 10% of all enrollment places.
