In the Syrian province of Idlib, a concentration of militants was attacked by the Russian Forpost-R attack drone. Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk spoke about this on July 23 during a briefing with the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, the Syria.mil.ru website reports.
“Militants of radical formations operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone continue to try to attack targets in the territory controlled by the Syrian government using unmanned aerial vehicles and multiple rocket launchers. To suppress such attempts, on July 22, the Russian-made Forpost-R attack reconnaissance UAV was used in Idlib province to inflict fire on the locations of illegal armed groups.”– said Ignasiuk.
He also noted that the aircraft of the so-called “international anti-terrorist coalition” led by the United States continue to fly in violation of the Deconfliction Protocols and violate Syrian airspace. Three such violations were detected during the day.
