Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that access to the social network Instagram (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) would be restored quickly, but its operation requires strict restrictions. He expressed this opinion on July 24 during his speech at the new media festival in Senezh.
“I think so, it is better to resume this access as soon as possible. (to Instagram (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) – approx. IA Krasnaya Vesna). This is my point of view. But there is a very important point here. We live with you in conditions of war. And in conditions of war there must be restrictions, and strict ones at that.”he said.
According to Peskov, Russian citizens should also understand such restrictions.
At the same time, the Kremlin representative believes that it is necessary to use all the resources of the media, including those that are not friendly to Russia, to “make our point of view understood” to events in the world.
