
Four teenagers who came to the UK as asylum seekers were arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in the Kent town of Dover on February 13, writes the Daily Mail.
The publication reports that Afghan children who arrived in Britain in 2022 as unaccompanied refugees may have been involved in one of the incidents police are investigating. The teens are currently in the care of Kent County Council social services.
County police confirmed they were investigating the incident and said the four children have been released on bail while the investigation continues.
Recall, on February 6, a Kent County Police spokesperson said that “an investigation into a report of a sex crime involving a teenage girl and a teenage boy in Dover”.
