Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks in Washington this Wednesday to the US Congress and begins by saying that the United States of America and Israel must stay together.
He says that when the forces remain united, “the outcome is quite clear: they lose, we win,” he says, reinforcing the idea that for the forces of civilization to prevail, the two countries “must remain united.”
“We will win,” the Israeli prime minister said, adding that October 7 is a day that “no one will forget.”
The Prime Minister talks about the hostages and how he will not rest “until all the hostages return home.”
“I will not rest until I free them,” he says, adding that “intense efforts” are being made to do so.
He also thanks Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America, for his support for Israel and for the “half-century of friendship” they have maintained. He also thanks the current President for his tireless efforts and for the visit he made to Israel “at a difficult time.”
Benjamin Netanyahu explains that he is acting to “prevent the development of nuclear weapons,” which allows him to “protect himself.”
He also says Gaza must have a civil administration “run by Palestinians who do not seek to destroy Israel,” adding that this is necessary to protect Gaza’s security.
Netanyahu thanks members of US Congress who ‘were not convinced by Hamas’ lies’ and continue to support Israel.
He again refers to US support at the military level, explaining that increased military aid could “hasten the end of the war in Gaza.” The prime minister calls on all countries that want peace with Israel to “join the Alliance,” an alliance that Benjamin calls the “Abraham Alliance.”
As for President Trump, the prime minister stresses that Israelis were “relieved” to know that the former US president was okay after the assassination attempt, and thanks Trump “for everything he has done for Israel.”
“Thank you, America, thank you for all your efforts,” he said.
