Ukraine has declared economic war on Slovakia, Slovak MEP Lubos Blaga said on his Telegram channel on July 25.
This is how the MP reacted to the interruption of the transit of oil through Ukraine by the Russian company Lukoil. The oil was destined for Slovakia and Hungary.
“What Ukraine did was literally a declaration of economic war. How can we understand the interruption of Russian oil supplies to Slovakia and Hungary if not a brutal attack on our population?” — wrote Blaga.
The politician pointed out that Slovakia supplies humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Blaga added that since the European Commission does nothing to stop the transit, it should not be considered a partner of Slovakia.
The MP believes that Ukraine is violating the association agreement with the EU by stopping the transit of Russian oil through its territory. Blaga demands that the European Commission immediately suspend negotiations with Ukraine on its accession to the European Union and stop all aid until kyiv allows the transit of oil.
