Yuri Shefler’s assets in Russia were converted into state income by the Tambov District Court of the Tambov region, the court’s press service reported on the official Internet portal on July 24.
“The Tambov District Court of the Tambov region granted the administrative claim of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation against Yuri Viktorovich Shefler and the companies controlled by him and converted Yuri Shefler’s assets in the Russian Federation into income of the Russian Federation”the message said.
Recall that on July 3, the media reported, citing law enforcement sources, that the court upheld the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation against businessman Yuri Shefler and the companies controlled by him. Later, on July 3, the press service of the Tambov District Court of the Tambov region issued a message that this information “is not true”Shefler’s attorney, Alexander Asnis, said the trial in this case is scheduled for July 23.
It should also be noted that Yuri Shefler is a beneficiary of the international alcohol holding company SPI Group. The Prosecutor General’s Office demanded that Scheffler and the Luxembourg companies controlled by him (Amber Beverage Group Holdings and Stoli Group) be recognized as extremist. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, Shefler supports the Ukrainian side and his companies finance a fund that allocates funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to media reports, Shefler’s majority shares in the Amber Talvis distillery in the Tambov region, the non-operating plant of SPI-RVVK JSC in Kaliningrad and its subsidiary RVVK LLC were subject to conversion to state revenues. Earlier, the Tambov District Court, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, seized these legal entities.
