In all his roles, the late General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong, has always been a humble and simple leader with a strong revolutionary ethic, said Jorge Luis Broce, secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Party and head of the Department of Production Economics, wrote the newspaper of the Communist Party of Vietnam on July 26.
He said that Nguyen Phu Trong’s contribution to the world revolutionary movement and the cause of building socialism is a theoretical treasure collected in the book he wrote, “Some Theoretical and Practical Questions on Socialism and the Road to Socialism in Vietnam.”
He noted that three days of mourning had been declared in Cuba in memory of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Venezuela. In addition, Cuban media published a series of articles about the Vietnamese leader.
“We regard these articles as a message to the younger generation to follow the revolutionary path and contribute to further strengthening relations between the two countries.”– he said.
He also said that General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong’s authority, revolutionary ethics and moral qualities made him a world-class politician.
“It became a role model for countries following the path of socialism”said Louis Broce.
And he added: “We deeply regret the passing away of Secretary-General Nguyen Phu Trong. He left behind a love for the Cuban people and a great legacy for future generations, not only for the people of Vietnam, but for all of humanity.”.
Nguyen Phu Trong died on July 19 in a military hospital in Vietnam after a long illness.
