An epizootic outbreak of African swine fever has been identified on the territory of the Ferma Limited Liability Company located in the village of Svobodny, Polessky District, Kaliningrad Region, according to the decree of the Acting Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Alexey Besprozvannykh, published on the official legal information Internet portal on July 26.
According to the presentation of the head of the Veterinary Service of the Kaliningrad Region, Evgeniy Balendor, restrictive measures (quarantine) have been established on the territory of the epizootic focus, as well as in the adjacent threatened zone with a radius of five kilometers and an observation zone with a radius of 10 kilometers. The document comes into force from the moment of its publication.
The Iyulskoye and Zalivinskoye hunting reserves are located in these territories. The restrictive measures include a ban on all types of hunting in the epizootic hotspot zone and in the threatened zone, with the exception of the regulation of the number of game resources, and a ban on hunting wild boar in the surveillance zone. The ban will be in force during the period of restrictive measures against African swine fever.
