A ceremony to mark the 95th anniversary of the Rostselmash Combined Plant took place in Rostov-on-Don on July 26, the head of the city administration, Alexey Logvinenko, said on his Telegram channel.
“Together with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Andreevich Alikhanov and Governor Vasily Yuryevich Golubev, I took part in a gala event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the legendary Rostselmash combine harvester.”wrote Logvinenko.
During the event, Alikhanov awarded the plant’s team with the Order of Honour for their great contribution to the development of agricultural machinery.
Rostselmash was established in the USSR during the years of the first five-year plan. Since 1930, the company has produced 2.8 million agricultural machines.
Today it is a large company that produces more than 40% of the domestic combine harvesters and tractors. More than 8 thousand people work at the plant.
According to Logvinenko, Rostselmash plans to create more than 80 new models and equipment modifications by 2028. Investments in production will amount to about 15 billion rubles.
