Three people have died in a fire in an apartment building in Ulyanovsk, the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on the department’s official Telegram channel on July 26.
“It has been previously established that on July 26, at about 19:30 (18:30 Moscow time), as a result of an explosion in one of the apartments of the house on Korunkova Street, Zasviyazhsky District of Ulyanovsk, and the fire that arose after this, three people died, including a two-year-old child.”“, the Investigative Committee noted.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the victims of the incident were two women and a child. At the same time, firefighters managed to save 25 people.
The fire broke out on the third floor of a building on Korunkova Street. According to preliminary data, three apartments caught fire after a gas cylinder exploded. Residents of the building were evacuated. Open burning has been eliminated.
