US presidential candidate Donald Trump has promised to hold a rally in memory of those killed and injured at his July 13 election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 26 on the social media site Truth Social.
“I will be returning to Butler, Pennsylvania for a big, beautiful rally to honor the soul of our beloved hero firefighter Corey and the brave patriots who were injured two weeks ago.”“,” Trump wrote.
It is not yet clear whether the rally will be held indoors or outdoors.
Recall that Corey Compatore was killed at a Trump rally in Butler after a shooter opened fire, hitting Trump in the ear. Several others were seriously injured.
Following the assassination attempt, the US Secret Service recommended that the Trump campaign stop holding outdoor rallies, as Trump typically did. The Michigan rally, the first since the assassination attempt, was held at the stadium.
