The development of technology may make the use of surveillance cameras and metal detectors during the Unified State Exam (USE) useless, Rosobrnadzor head Anzor Muzaev told RIA Novosti on July 27.
“If we take a long-term perspective and the development of technology, I think that neither cameras nor frames will help in five years… I have great fears that in five years the development of technology will lead, if we do not take appropriate measures, to major problems with trust: someone will go, prepare, objectively pass, understanding that this is knowledge, that it is important, and someone will try. (breaking the rules – Red Spring news agency note),” the official said.
According to Muzaev, despite all the tricks of the examinees, the means of control used so far ensure compliance with the rules of the exam. The head of Rosobrnadzor clarified that work is gradually underway to increase the complexity of monitoring and limiting systems; for example, Rostelecom is introducing intelligent means of suppressing communications to limit extraneous signals. However, the official noted that the tools of the offenders are also constantly being improved.
It is reported that in 2024 more than 665 thousand people took the Unified State Exam, among which 768 offenders were identified and eliminated from the exam. According to the agency, the main reason for the elimination of examinees remains ordinary cheat sheets – 337 cases, phones were used by 220 people, the rest were eliminated for other reasons.
