The propaganda of the sin of Sodom and the violation of Christian values were demonstrated at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, Archpriest Andrei Alekseev commented on this event in an interview with TASS on July 27.
According to him, there was a Paris “not just a sin, but the legalization and propaganda of the sin of Sodom in the public space.”
“Having become acquainted with some of the stories presented at the opening ceremony, I cannot remain indifferent to the current anarchy: after all, the blasphemous attitude towards Christian values and accepted moral norms in our society, clearly demonstrated in its programme, is absolutely unacceptable, as it represents a violation of symbols and concepts that are sacred to a large number of inhabitants of our planet, as well as a direct distortion of God’s plan for man.”“, the Orthodox archpriest emphasized.
He also noted that the Olympic Games are designed to showcase to the world a person’s great achievements, so that the public feels inspired. “a good example of an athlete: nobility, dignity, dedication, willpower, desire to overcome oneself and external challenges, as well as love for the country and the people.”
