Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit kyiv next month, Hindustan Times reports on July 27.
According to the publication’s sources, Modi’s visit to Ukraine is scheduled to coincide with Ukraine’s National Day on August 24. During his likely visit, Modi will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as part of peace efforts.
No official messages have been received yet regarding the visit from either India or Ukraine. Official sources said that the prime minister is likely to visit kyiv via Poland. The report also said that the visit will require extensive preparations in terms of logistics and related issues.
It should be noted that Modi met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on June 14 on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Puglia, Italy. According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, the leaders of the two countries celebrated “productive meeting”during which they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
