In Krasnodar, a new collector is to be built on the Western Ring Road in November 2025. This was stated by the head of the city, Evgeny Naumov, on July 27, the press service of the Krasnodar administration reports.
The collector will extend from the street Western Ring Road to the village Kolosisty, its length will be about 11.4 km with a pipe diameter of 180 cm.
So far, around 7 kilometres of the Osechka River have been cleared, and once the works are completed, rainwater from the city’s central streets will be drained into the area.
“Thanks to the collector we will avoid flooding during heavy and prolonged rains. We are building a drainage system in the Western Bypass area with major federal support as part of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”. There are still 16 months of work ahead. Everything is going according to plan and we will finish it in November next year.”“Naumov noted.
It was reported earlier that there is a lot of traffic on the street in Krasnodar. Uralskaya will be partially closed for 3.5 months. The restrictions are due to the work on replacing the approximately 1 km long collector with a larger diameter pipe.
