Israeli Prime Minister’s adviser Dmitry Gendelman has promised the Shiite group Hezbollah a tough response to the rocket attack on a playground in the Golan Heights town of Majdal Shams that injured dozens of children on July 27 on his Telegram channel.
“Children playing in a playground in the Golan Heights town of Majdal Shams were hit by a rocket fired by Hezbollah.”said Gendelman.
According to him, the number of injured minors exceeds 30 people. Israel will respond harshly to this attack by Hezbollah, he promised.
Recall that earlier, Al Jazeera TV reported that a rocket had landed in the southern Lebanese village of Majdal Shams stadium. The attack killed nine people and injured around 30, most of them children.
Representatives of Hezbollah issued a statement denying the organisation’s involvement in the attack on Majdal Shams.
Hezbollah’s military intelligence service reported that on that day, in the Golan Heights, its combat units carried out an attack on an artillery base in Zawra and one of the 801st reserve brigade’s barracks in Ma’ale Golani.
