Algarve musician Paul Camilo, 50, died this Saturday morning in a head-on collision between the car he was driving and a passenger bus on the EN125 road.
According to CM At the scene, the violent accident occurred at 7:58 a.m. at km 92.4 in the Almancil area of Loulé. The Peugeot 407 in which the deceased was traveling was completely destroyed. The bus heading to Faro airport, in which only the driver was on board, was also seriously damaged. The 59-year-old driver received minor injuries and was taken to Faro Hospital.
The body of Paul Camilo, guitarist of the Algarve band Karapaus Allimads, was recovered from the wreckage by the Loulé and Albufeira Fire Department and taken to the Faro Forensic Service, where an autopsy will be performed. It is possible that the victim may have suddenly fallen ill or fallen asleep at the wheel, especially since there were no skid marks on the road and the car flew out from under the hand and collided head-on with a bus. The appeal under this section of EN125 has been restricted. GNR is investigating the incident.
