The border between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan cannot accommodate a large flow of Kazakh tourists eager to relax on the Kyrgyz Lake Issyk-Kul; chaos has erupted on the border, eyewitnesses reported on July 28 on the social network Instagram (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation).
That is why tourists are forced to spend hours in the heat at the Kordai checkpoint on the Kazakh side to reach Lake Issyk-Kul during the tourist season. At the same time, witnesses report that this situation is observed only on the Kazakh side; on the Kyrgyz side, the checkpoint operates much faster.

It is reported that the passage of cars is also being delayed and a queue of cars has already formed.
Video posted by eyewitnesses shows that people are not allowed to enter the checkpoint territory and that dozens of people are queuing in the heat. Tourists are allowed to enter the checkpoint territory in groups, but not as quickly as they would like.
