Ukrainian troops carried out attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery in the Kalininsky, Tsentralno-Gorodsky and Nikitovsky districts of Gorlovka, the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes in Ukraine reported on July 28.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., Ukrainian artillerymen fired four rounds from 155-mm guns at the Kalininsky district of Gorlovka. As a result, the area is partially without electricity.
Later, at about 06:40, the enemy fired four more shells from 155-mm guns towards the Tsentralno-Gorodsky area, damaging the 35 kV substation. This led to the de-energization of 175 transformer substations and the deprivation of electricity to 35,134 subscribers. In addition, damage was recorded at the Museum of History of the city of Gorlovka on Pushkinskaya Street and a direct hit by a shell in the boiler room. A fire broke out in the garage cooperative in Zapadny and three cars were damaged.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. in the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka, a Ukrainian kamikaze drone attacked a car. A man, born in 1991, who was in the car was injured.
Earlier, on the evening of July 27, an elderly woman and man were injured by artillery shelling in the Gorlovka district of the central city.
