Three earthquakes of magnitude 3.4, 3.3 and 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred in Konplong district of Kontum province. The area shook so much that many people in the vicinity of the epicenter felt it.
The first earthquake occurred at 3:12 am on July 28 local time, with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale and a focal depth of approximately 8.1 km. The natural disaster risk level is 0.
The second earthquake occurred at 8:35 local time on July 28 with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale and a focal depth of about 8.1 km. The disaster risk level is also 0.
The earthquake struck for the third time at 11:17 a.m. on July 28, with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale and an impact depth of about 8.3 km. The risk of natural disasters was also zero.
However, many people were reportedly frightened by the tremors, with local residents running out of their homes to avoid being trapped under the rubble if the earthquakes suddenly became more severe.
