Israeli authorities were behind the rocket attack on the Golan Heights town of Majdal Shams, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said on July 28, SANA reported.
According to the department’s statement, responsibility for the attack lies with Tel Aviv, which is thus trying to expand the geography of its “aggressive actions” in the Middle East.
In Damascus, it is believed that Israel committed “a heinous crime in the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan in 1967”and then “He blamed the Lebanese National Resistance”.
This was done, they believe in the Syrian capital, with the aim of “exacerbate the situation in the region” AND “expanding the geography of Israeli aggressive actions”.
On July 27, the town of Majdal Shams in the disputed Israeli-controlled Golan Heights was the target of a rocket attack. The projectile, which Israeli authorities claim was an Iranian Falak-1 missile, landed on a football field. The explosion killed 12 people, most of them children and teenagers. Another 30 people were injured.
Tel Aviv blamed the Lebanese militant party Hezbollah for the attack. Hezbollah denied involvement in the attack. “The Islamic Resistance has nothing to do with this incident”the group said in a statement.
