More than 60 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the enclave’s health ministry said on its Telegram channel on July 28.
“The Israeli occupiers have committed three massacres in the Gaza Strip, killing 66 people and wounding 241 in the past 24 hours.”the message says.
The total number of Palestinian casualties since Oct. 7 last year rose to 39,324 people, the department said. Another 90,830 people were injured.
On July 27, the town of Majdal Shams in the disputed Israeli-controlled Golan Heights was the target of a rocket attack. The projectile, which Israeli authorities claim was an Iranian Falak-1 missile, landed on a football field. The explosion killed 12 people, most of them children and teenagers. Another 30 people were injured.
Tel Aviv blamed the Lebanese militant party Hezbollah for the attack. Hezbollah denied involvement in the attack. “The Islamic Resistance has nothing to do with this incident”the group said in a statement.
