Pensioners over 80 years old and disabled people of group 1 will receive an additional pension supplement, said Lyudmila Ivanova-Shvets, associate professor of the Department of Human Resources Management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation at Plekhanov Economic University, on July 29 in an interview with Prime agency.
Pensioners in these categories will receive an additional 1,200 rubles. Previously, this bonus could be received if the application was submitted by a healthy, non-working citizen who cared for a pensioner.
It is now available to all pensioners in these groups, regardless of whether they require care or not. The amendment will come into force on 1 January 2025.
Starting August 1, pensioners who worked in the coal industry and flight crew members will receive an additional payment to their pension. The pensions of working pensioners and those who have already resigned will also be recalculated (they will be indexed for the missing years).
